Wednesday, 3rd May 2023 Sinergi Merah Putih has opportunity visited Soegijapranata Catholic University Semarang. There is a Workshop Mini Project entitled “Implementation of Development Life Cycle in Industry”. This event lasted for two hours at Theatre Room Thomas Aquinas building third floor, Soegijapranata Catholic University. There are almost hundreds student from Computer Science faculty with three study programs (Informatics Engineering, Information System, and e-Commerce) has joined the workshop. There are also a dean of Soegijapranata Catholic University (Mr. Bernardinus Harnadi, ST., MT., Ph.D), head of study program Information (Mr. Agus Cahyo Nugroho, S.Kom, MT), and lecturers of Computer Science faculty Soegijapranata Catholic University has joined the workshop.
The Goals of this event is for giving a knowledge to student as a provision that will be applied in industry. This workshop is a form of cooperation agreement (MoU) between Sinergi Merah Putih and Soegijapranata Catholic University. The expectation of the cooperation formed is Sinergi Merah Putih can open opportunities to attract students for doing excellent collaboration such as mini project collaboration, internship, and even working at Sinergi Merah Putih. The Value that Sinergi Merah Putih will be bring to Soegijapranata Catholic University is to prepare student to be ready to work by equipping themselves with knowledge and skills that are in accordance with industry needs. The objectives of cooperation between Soegijapranata Catholic University and Sinergi Merah Putih is for doing collaboration and can produce the great creations not only with its students, but also with its educational institutions.
Sinergi Merah Putih has a Program named Tesis which aims to prepare students in knowledge and skills that are in accordance with current industry needs to be ready for work. Tesis also opens opportunities for all universities in Indonesia, especially for universities that has faculties of informatics, information engineering, computer science, information systems, and other programming or computer majors. In this Workshop there is an explanation of Tesis platform which is a platform web based that launched by Sinergi Merah Putih that can connect industries or companies with universities with its various programs. The explanation of Tesis which included the information of Tesis description, how to Register on Tesis, and the benefit to join Tesis including Introducing the Mini Project which is part of Tesis Program by Ms. Gemma Deusvidya from Sinergi Merah Putih.
The Activity of workshop started with welcome speech by Mr. Bernardinus Harnadi, ST., MT., Ph.D as a dean of Soegijapranata Catholic University Semarang and Mr. Tomy Sekar Mehta as a Representative from Sinergi Merah Putih. Then, there is an explanation of Tesis and explanation of Software Development Lifecycle from Sinergi Merah Putih. And also there are some activities such as ice breaking, discussion, and Q&A Session. The event is closed with Placard giving that is given by Dean of Soegijapranata Catholic University to Sinergi Merah Putih and Placard giving from Sinergi Merah Putih to Soegijapranata Catholic University Semarang.
There is a core of this event that is an explanation of Implementation Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from Sinergi Merah Putih. UI/UX Design in SDLC is explained by Mr.Mochammad Iqbal, The Importance of Frontend in Industry is explained by Mr.Rangga Sahadewa, and about Backend is explained by Mr.Faizal Wicaksono. The material in this session is important so that students get an overview of SDLC process in the industry and how the SDLC process in UI/UX design, frontend, and backend in industry.
